William Honeysett (1746 - 1775) of Kent

William, a son of Thomas and Ann of Dallington, was baptised in Ashburnham on 30 March 1746.  He married Lydia Wilding in Ulcombe, Kent, in 1771 and they are known to have had 3 children baptised:

William 5 Apr 1772 Headcorn, Kent
Lydia 5 Dec 1773 Staplehurst, Kent
Mary 9 Apr 1775 Frittenden, Kent

William drowned before Mary was born and was buried in Staplehurst in 1775. Lydia re-married to John Shoesmith in Frittenden in 1776.

Of William's children:

  • William married Frances Knock and lived in Charing.
  • Lydia married John Bartholomew in Headcorn on 25 November 1792.
  • Mary married George Merton at Broughton Malherbe on 11 October 1795 and was mentioned in her uncle Edward's will of 1837.
