William Honeysett (1742 - 1811)
of Lamberhurst, Kent

William, a son of John and Martha, was baptised in Dallington on 19 December 1742. He married Elizabeth Veness on 20 November 1770 in Brightling where the first of their children were baptised:

William was buried in Lamberhurst on 18 August 1811, aged 68.  Elizabeth then went to live with her daughter Harriet in Speldhurst, Kent, where she died on 22 December 1814, aged 62.

  • Hetty married Benjamin Winch, widower and shopkeeper of Hawkhurst, by licence in London on 9 November 1795.
  • Harriet married John Cuthbert at St Paul's, Covent Garden, on 16 September 1801.  They lived in Withyam and later Speldhurst. Harriet died in 1838.
  • Charles married Mary Boulding in East Grinstead on 12 June 1812.  He was, for a time, Innkeeper at 'The Swan' in Tunbridge Wells.  They had at least four children, three of them baptised in Speldhurst, but only one, Helen, survived childhood.
  • Jane, of Speldhurst, married Fossey Jenkins in Chart Sutton on 2 November 1814.
